  • Are concrete sleepers my best option for a retaining wall?

    In most cases, yes. Concrete is durable, long-lasting and cost-effective. It’s also resistant to fire, water damage and strong winds, as well as termites and other pests. It does not rot or burn and can last up to 3 decades. Concrete sleepers are available in a range of textures and colours and can be customised further to suit the style of the environment.

  • Do I need Council approval to have concrete sleepers installed?

    Council approval is not required If your retaining wall is less than one metre in height but there are other regulations to consider such as size and structural integrity. Ensuring construction is compliant with the City Plan or the Queensland Development Code guidelines is the responsibility of the home owner or developer. If you are planning to build a retaining wall that is higher than one metre, we can organise the engineered design drawings and Form 15 for you. However, it is up to the owner to lodge the application with the council.


    Also consideration needs to be addressed as to whether the Retaining Wall is inside your boundary including the Footing as you could lose 200-300mm of land to the inside of the Wall.

  • How much does a retaining wall cost?

    Each project is different so we would need to arrange an inspection of your property before providing a quote. We can meet you onsite to determine retaining wall height, access and ground conditions. We can then provide an accurate price or suggest alternative solutions.

  • Do you give a guarantee?

    Yes. Our products are built to Australian standards, installed by skilled and experienced tradespeople. We back the quality of our work with a 7 year installation guarantee. We also offer a 35 year material guarantee on our concrete sleepers.
